Photographic Happenstance
Expressing the arbitrary nature of life through incidental images of people, places, and things…

I took this photo during a lunchtime walk through the cemetery. Despite it's busy surroundings (Rosslyn, National Airport, the Pentagon, etc...), the cemetery is a very serene place. The whole experience of walking through the cemetery was surreal and very sobering - walking through what seemed like miles and miles of headstones representing the lives of those who served, to include servicemen and women, justices, literary figures and two Presidents (William Howard Taft and John F. Kennedy).
