Photographic Happenstance
Expressing the arbitrary nature of life through incidental images of people, places, and things…

A picture of the south side of the National Building Museum, shot at 62mm, f8.0 using my workhorse 18-70mm DX lens on the buttery smooth D200. The National Building Museum is huge, taking up an entire city block (or so it seems). Add the amazing red brick and intricate stonework to the sheer size of the building, and you have the makings of some excellent photography. I've only been inside the museum once to attend my brother's Georgetown Law Center graduation ball and what I saw inside was equally as impressive.

On another note, I've been pretty introspective as of late. Perhaps it's the insomnia, perhaps it's "just a phase", but in keeping with the "rising from the ashes" theme in my
Death of a Building post, I've decided to delete my previous (or rather, original) blogspot iteration of photographic happenstance. Why would I do that, you might ask? Well, considering that I was able to import pretty much all the posts from the blogspot version (heretofore referred to as Release 1.0), there's no reason to hang onto the blog... it's time to bring out the dead and no, Release 1.0 isn't "not quite dead yet". So, here's a toast to Release 1.0, may she rest in peace - huzzah!
